What to do with old appliances

by berland 10/17/2009

One option for disposing of unwanted small or large appliances is to donate them to a charity or a donation center, and some centers operate with proceeds going to cancer research or another worthwhile cause. There are also centers that accept appliances to recycle them for use by needy families.

If removing the appliance is your concern, there are organizations and service entities that pick up used appliances to save you the bother, and recycle them at their discretion. This service benefits you by removing the old so you can bring in the new appliance and eliminates disposal fees you might otherwise have to pay at your community landfill.

Before recycling appliances, check out the recycling guides and tips provided to ensure a safe reconditioned appliance for the new owner.

This progressive listing is provided as a service and handy resource to readers and I make no representation regarding any of these centers.

About Us

ElegantAppliance.com was started by me, Matt (this is my blog) in the beginning of 2008 to see what was involved with launching an e-commerce site with a larger volume of products for sale. It turned out to be a lot of work, and with the help of a friend of mine, Matt Bertulli @ Demac Media Inc., we built a site that is actually growing and doing well.

I started this blog to share how exactly we built this business, and how we continue to build this business. Hopefully our experiences will help others wanting to get into e-commerce / e-tailing.
